What you should keep in mind when arriving at the Schmiedhof Alm
NEW FROM SUMMER 2026 - Free parking in P3
Optional - Secure parking in P1 for € 35 per day.
Parking in P1 is free for the first hour. This makes loading and unloading your luggage easy.
Arrival by car/train/taxi:
Access to our house is only possible via the Sonnenalmbahn cable car #8 (last departure at 4:30 pm or 5:00 pm) and our in-house shuttle. The last shuttle departure, if needed, is at 6:00 pm from parking lot #3 at the valley station.
Between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm, arrival with the Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card is via the Sonnenalmbahn #8 cable car. Our shuttle will pick you up there, along with your luggage, and take you to our house.
Online check-in is therefore essential!
Between 5:05 pm and 6:00 pm, you can be picked up from the designated parking area#3 by our in-house shuttle bus.
For both arrival methods, please call us at +43664 18 26 290 at least 45 minutes in advance.
The last shuttle departure, if needed, is at 6:00 pm in advance.
Arrivals after 6:00 PM are not possible!
Access to our house is via a private road and is restricted to authorized vehicles.

During your stay, our shuttle will take you to the mountain station of the Sonnenalmbahn #8 or the mountain station of the Sonnkogelbahn #9, both of which you may use free of charge with the Zell am See–Kaprun Summer Card.
The last ascent on the Sonnenalmbahn #8 is at 5:00pm (final journey).
Please note that during your stay our shuttle does not operate from the valley car park. Therefore, make sure you are always at the Sonnenalmbahn #8 in time for the last cable car ride at 5:00pm. From the mountain station, our shuttle can take you back to the Schmiedhof Alm, if required.
